In 1972,a new charter was adopted and the Village of North Orlando became the city of Winter Springs. The official birthday ceremony will be at 10 a.m. The U.S.Navy Band and the U.S.Navy Drill Team of the Orlando Naval Training Center will perform, and the Boy Scouts of Winter Springs will raise a flag.
