I hope every one of you will exercise your right and vote. It is, therefore, the people's responsibility to carefully evaluate the candidates and what they have con- tributed to the council and to the community. In the final analysis, the resulting council is only as good as the individuals elected to it, by the citizens. After careful consideration, I have decided to run for re-election for Councilman, Group 1. I have served as Commissioner of Health, Welfare and Recreation for the past two years, which I consider it is an honor to serve you. I have worked diligently in developing the 12 acres of Recreation Park which consist of: stocking lake with fish; remodeling recreation building with two bath rooms; replanting trees, maintaining the ball fields and cutting the grass. I supporter the Council on the hiring of a full time policeman; installed more street lights throughout the Village; help support the Fire Department; acquisition of a tractor and mower, road grader, lease on sprayer and purchase of a new police car, which is on order. It is my firm conviction that the progress and growth of the community the next two or three years hinges in part, on a strong, decisive council dedicated to representing the best interest of the citizenry, and prcmoting harmony and growth in the community. The Village of North Orlando has progressed steadily in the last few years and will continue to grow. There are over 260 occupied homes now and looks good for the future. It is at the crucial stage that it needs and requires experience, progressive leadership to keep it moving forward. Please remember, residents, if you still want the full time police protection, lights throughout the Village, maintenance and upkeep of the Recreation Park, please vote for the four incumbents who have provided this with your tax dollar. Reducing the taxes, this cannot be furnished, as there will not be sufficient income. I earnestly solicit your consideration in the election. Your vote will be genuinely appreciated. A vote for me is a vote for progress of North Orlando. By all means, please vote for the one you feel most qualified. Sincerely yours, ( :,ezde- /2/ e641,7 C arres E.
