A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA DIVISION OF CULTURAL
AFFAIRS CULTURAL FACILITIES PROGRAM REQUESTING
UP TO $500,000 IN GRANT FUNDS FOR MAGNOLIA PARK
AMPHITHEATER ON THE PARK, AND FURTHER
ACKNOWLEDGING THAT RECEIPT OF GRANT FUNDING
WILL BE CONDITIONED ON THE CITY PROVIDING
MATCHING FUNDS AT A 2:1 RATIO, WHICH AMOUNT
SHALL NOT EXCEED$ 1,000,000.
WHEREAS, the City of Winter Springs has the opportunity to apply for grant funding in
an amount not to exceed five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) for the Cultural Facilities
Program Project Magnolia Park Amphitheater, with the stipulation that the City provide
matching funds at a 2 to 1 ratio to the amount of the grant; and
WHEREAS, depending on the amount received by the City in grant funding, such
funding will be conditioned on the City providing matching funds in an amount not to exceed
$1,000,000 by July 1, 2016.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following recitals are true and correct and hereby fully incorporated herein
by this reference as part of this Resolution.
Section 2. That the City Commission hereby acknowledges that the City may receive an
amount not to exceed Five- Hundred Thousand and 00 /100 Dollars ($500,000.00) in grant funds
from the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs for the purpose of funding the Magnolia Park
Amphitheater project. Further, the City Commission acknowledges that the receipt of such grant
funds will be conditioned on the City providing matching funds at a ratio of 2:1 by July 1, 2016.
The amount to be provided by the City at such 2:1 ratio will be based on the total amount of
grant funds received and shall not exceed One - Million and 00 /100 Dollars ($1,000,000.00).
Section 3. Repeal of Prior Inconsistent Resolutions. All prior inconsistent
resolutions adopted by the City Commission, or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith,
are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict.
Section 4. Severabiiity. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, word
or provision of this resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, whether for substantive, procedural, or any other reason, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision, and such holding shall not affect
the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution.

Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption
by the City Commission.
RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, in a regular meeting
assembled on the 10ffi day of August, 2015.
