HomeMy WebLinkAboutJay Wetz Citizens and Voters of North Orlando:
During the last few years the Village of North Orlando has moved
ahead under proven leadership.
Your working council has installed and lighted more street lights
not only on Route 434 but on the side streets as well. We have purchased
and paid for a tractor that has been used for cutting rights of ways,
recreation area, and limited road work. In conjunction with road work,
we have purchased and paid for a road grader that will soon be in operation.
The recreation area has been improved so that families may enjoy the
good Florida weather. The lake has been stocked and will be ready to be
fished shortly.
Stop, Yield and Speed Limit signs have been erected to further up-
grade the Village and make it a safer place to bring up children.
The Village Council has helped the Fire Department over the last two
years so that now the Fire Department has 18 active members as well as two
trucks with a capacity of 2800 gallons of water.
Your active and working council has hired a full-time and very
qualified police officer. A new police car was purchased and will be in
service within the month. Because of the vast area of incorporated land,
a full-time officer with a reliable car is necessary to provide the police
protection that we are all entitled to.
We have done all this with a utility tax of 10% with a maximum of
75¢ per utility.
We have not abused your tax dollar, but instead have used your tax
monies intelligently for the betterment of the entire Village.
I have had the pleasure of being a part of the working council that
has done so much and would ask your support for my re-election on March 21,
1967 to Group 5.
The Village is moving ahead as proven by the accomplishments during
the past two years and I would like to be a part of your council for the
next two years to aid in its further growth. Therefore, your vote and
support is requested on Election Day.
Sincerely,
Jay A. Wetz
