We'fe focusing on what we can control, which is our project." Bryant and Spokesperson Susan Houck talked to the Chamber on Valentines Day. By Will Welton OF PIE SENTINEL STAFF OVIEDO-Developers should be ready, perhaps this week,to unveil the latest plans for the Marketplace at Oviedo Crossing,a proposed regional shopping mall. Those drawings will include the first rendering of the proposed$5 million bridge over the Central Flor- ida GreeneWay. The bridge, which will connect the mall site with State Road 426,saved the development from political doom. When mall developer The Rouse Co. decided to build a bridge over the expressway, which borders the mall site, it knew designers would have to re- sharpen their pencils. Making room for a bridge means shifting the mall on its 90-acre site. "It's complex," said project manager Mike Bryant, who declined to go into more detail before the draw- ings are ready. Bryant said the bridge would not drastically alter the 1.2 million-square-foot mall's design. The Mar- ketplace will have five department stores, including Burdines,Dillard's and Gayfers. "All the issues we are dealing with are solvable. ... They are outside of the political arena,"Bryant said.
