REQUEST:
The City Clerk requests that the City Commission review and approve Resolution Number
2015-02 offering their appreciation and gratitude for the service of Mr. William
(Bill) Carpenter as a recent Member of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
SYNOPSIS:
The City Commission has many Board and Committee Members, and is very appreciative
of the service they provide to the City, to the City Commission, and to Staff. Thus, when a
Board or Committee Member resigns or their Term of Service ends or when a
Board/Committee is sunsetted, the Mayor and City Commission have noted their desire to
show their gratitude to these Board/Committee Members.
Therefore, in each case of a Board or Committee Member resigning their position, or they
have reached the allowable number of years of Service, or when a Board/Committee is
sunsetted, the City Commission is requested to approve a Resolution of
Appreciation. Accordingly, Resolution 2015-02 is being presented in honor of Mr.
Carpenter's dedicated service to the City of Winter Springs and to the City Commission as a
valued Member of the City's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS:
Mr. Carpenter was first Appointed to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee
on September 13, 2010 by former Commissioner Gary Bonner.
Resolution 2015-02 is being provided for consideration in honor of Mr.
Carpenter's dedicated service to the City of Winter Springs and to the City Commission as a

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS,
FLORIDA, EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
WILLIAM CARPENTER FOR HIS SERVICE ON THE
BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN ADVISORY
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, WILLIAM CARPENTER has performed an outstanding service to the public
by representing the City of Winter Springs on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee since
being Appointed on September 13, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the work and efforts of WILLIAM CARPENTER has greatly benefited his
neighbors and the residents of Winter Springs; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, wish to
express their appreciation and acknowledgement on behalf of the citizens of Winter Springs and to
WILLIAM 7�ILLIAM CARPENTER for his conscientious and faithful service.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Winter
Springs, Florida:
SECTION L - That this Resolution of Appreciation for the service of WILLIAM
CARPENTER be recorded upon the Public Records and Minutes of said City Commission of the City
of Winter Springs, Florida.
SECTION IL - That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to WILLIAM CARPENTER
