OFFICE OF THE MAYOR WINTER SPRINGS,FLORIDA
WHEREAS, from the founding of the United States o America, millions of our citizens have defended our country,and
have given their all, serving here and serving in numerous countries around the globe—all efforts made in hope of a better
life, and for liberty, and justice, and independence; and
WHEREAS, the sacrifices and efforts that have been made by those who have served our country as Veterans, have
not been forgotten, including the fact that some Veterans made the ultimate sacrifice — and although those who loyally
served in War time can never be repaid, we will always remember and hold dear, what our Veterans did and that they
fought hard for keeping peace in the hearts of our citizens; and
WHEREAS, as a member of the United Stated Navy, IRVIN SANDBRINK bravely and selflessly served the United
States of America during World War II, and served in both the Asia and Pacific theaters; and through his noble, courageous,
WHEREAS,and most honorable efforts,our country is part of a much better world; and
1�!(HEREAS, IRVIN SANDBRINK and some of his fellow service members took part on a journey to our nation's
Capitol, Washington D.C.,on April 26, 2014-a"Tour of Honor"; courtesy of the Honor Flight Network; and
WHEREAS, the Honor Flight Network was incredibly proud to take IRVIN SANDBRINK and his colleagues on their
Honor Flight, so that these heroic Veterans could personally see the Memorial which was built to honor those who served,
for their most valiant and admirable service to our country and for all their efforts to help protect us and keep us safe; and
WHEREAS, as fellow Winter Springs' citizens, it is such a privilege to recognize IRVIN SANDBRINK for all he has
done for peace in our world,for freedom, and for the good of this great country of ours.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHARLES LACEY, Mayor of the City of Winter Springs, Florida do hereby
Proclaim on behalf of the City Commission and all of the residents of the City of Winter Springs, Florida,that we recognize
