Authorization REQUEST: The Parks and Recreation Department requests the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee discuss and prioritize park improvements and funding sources at Trotwood Park. CONSIDERATIONS: • Several improvements are being considered at Trotwood Park. Considerations and approximate cost estimates are outlined in Attachment A. RECOMMENDATION: The Parks and Recreation Department recommends that the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee consider and prioritize potential Trotwood Park improvements outlined in this Agenda Item. ATTACHMENTS: Attachment A—Trotwood Park Priorities Attachment "A" TROTWOOD PARK PRIORITIES FOR P'RAC WORKSHOP' May 6, 2014 • Basketball Court Needs complete resurfacing ($30-35,000) • Tennis Courts Windscreens, for courts ($2,000-3,000) Plants for exterior ($2,000) • Shade Cover (50 x 50) Needs repair ($600-$1,000) To replace is ($16-18,000) • Lighting Sidewalk lights need to be upgraded (13) ($10,400-12,400) Building & Parking Lot (6) ($4,800-6,800) • Security Cameras, Security cameras are to reduce vandalism & prosecute violators These are all considerations for the FYI 5 budget process. These are general estimates for materials & labor. Costs, may vary based on material selection and site labor. Formal quote/bid will be done prior to approval.
