The City of Winter Springs is setting stage for their
annual Independence Day Celebration the 4th of
July "Celebration of Freedom "I As everyone
ir the US plans to celebrate Independence Day;
the community of Winter Springs will have
the opportunity to enjoy an evening with live
entertainment, kid's games and activities and
a vibrant firework display choreographed to a
patriotic musical score. The event will take place
at the beautiful Central Winds Park located just
be6ind Winter Springs High School, where gates
wlff open at 5:00 PM.
Shuttle buses will run from 5 PM to 11:00 PM.
The Shuttle Bus Stops are: Trotwood Park, Keeth
Elementary School, Venetian Plaza and Layer
Elementary School.
There will be much to see and do throughout the
evening and definitely something for all age
ge oupsl On our entertainment stage, things
will kick off with the Finals of the "Star Spangled
Showcase", as six individuals compete for the
honor and recognition of becoming a "Winter
Springs Singing Idol ". The Star Spangled Showcase
is sponsored by Remax Town and Country and
Leading Edge Mortgage Company. All finalist
participants have the opportunity to participate for
prizes and rights of becoming the 2010 Showcase
winners of both junior and adult groups.
Fallowing the Showcase, members of the Winter
Springs Performing Arts group will feature popular
acts as well as perform traditional pieces. Later,
a band comprised of the Winter Springs Police
Department also known as 17 -70 will perform
some of Classic Rock 'n Roll hits. There will be
additional guest performers throughout the evening
who will be taking part on the entertainment stage.
The evening's hosts will be Central Florida News
13's Jacqueline Fell and Winter Springs own,
Arnie Nussbaum.
There will also be a Fantastic Kids Area that
offers bounce houses, various inflatables, obstacle
courses, plus the good "ole American Games"
which will be produced and coordinated by Chris
Caldwell, Athletics Supervisor.
