Housing Update
The City of Winter Springs has now received the Draft
Development Agreement, the Fiscal Neutrality Analysis
& Economic Impact Study of Town Parke in Winter
Springs, FL, and the School Capacity Availability Letter
of Determination. The City Staff has not completed their
review of these documents. Citizens may review these
documents at City Hall by contacting the office of the City
Clerk.Town Parke/Atlantic Housing Partners,the developer
must hold three public meetings where you may attend,ask
questions and express your opinions.
Numerous residents of the community in the greater
Thscawilla area are concerned that this development could
have an impact on the housing values in Winter Springs.
The proposed Town Parke development would be located
in the Town Center District on SR 434 between the
pedestrian bridge and the Mobil gas station and is slated
to have three and four story buildings with a total of 201
apartment units and a minimum of 413 parking spaces.The
apartments include 1,2,3 and 4 bedroom units with a total
of 447 bedrooms.The number of occupants per bedroom is
restricted to"two(2)persons unless the occupant is twenty-
four(24)months or younger."The project would include 94
Workforce Housing units,47 age restricted(55+)units and
60 Market rate units.
Contact your City Commissioners by email, phone, and
by attending City Commission meetings (held on the 2nd
and 4th Mondays of each month starting at 5:15 pm).Once
again, citizens may give Public Input either verbally or in
writing whether an issue is on that evening's Agenda or not.
If you prefer not to speak,you still may have your opinion
included in the Public record by completing a purple Public
Input form stating your position on the issue and indicating
that you do not wish to speak.
