(9,fire,)„,e}./?:, /40, , cw...,,s... v • v-e-4e . - .1._ fre42,4 .., WHEREAS, Area Scottish Clans and Societies gather to compete in rigorous athletic events, dancing, and piping to celebrate their rich heritage at the Central Florida Scottish Highland Games, sponsored by the Scottish- American Society of Central Florida;and WHEREAS, The Scottish-American Society of Central Florida was founded in 1976 to celebrate and carry on the Scottish traditions here in the United States;and ilitHEREAS, The Scottish Highland Games is now in its 35th year, and in its loth year at Winter Springs' Central Winds Park,with the average attendance annually at the Winter Springs'Scottish Highland Games-18,000 to 20,000 guests;and WHEREAS, The Winter Springs' Scottish Highland Games is the largest Highland Games gathering in the State of Florida; and the second largest in the Southeast United States;and the only location where alligators can listen to Scottish music;and WHEREAS, The 2012 Scottish Highland Games in Winter Springs will be held on January 14th and 15th, 2012 at Central Winds Park; and the City of Winter Springs is incredibly honored to once more be able to partner with the Scottish American Society of Central Florida for the annual Scottish Highland Games, and again, we unequivocally know that this weekend's games will be as the Scottish say,"Pure dead brilliant"(Exceptionally good).
