Carol,
Similar to other discussions we and a couple of the Boards /Committees have had, the Tuscawilla Lighting
and Beautification District Advisory Committee should be able to address this tonight. Please make sure it is
discussed under Reports, and that all details are covered.
Thanks. Any concerns, please get with me.

Dear Chairperson Brook,
On behalf of the Mayor and City Commission, we want to again thank you (and your fellow Committee
Members) for your service and contributions to our City. In fact, the Mayor and City Commission are often
commenting about their caring citizens and volunteers and all you all do for the City!
It is Staff's plans (with the agreement of the Mayor and City Commission) that at upcoming City Commission
meetings in early 2012, the City Commission would like to hear from all of their Advisory Boards and
Committees.
As it pertains to the Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District Advisory Committee, we are hoping that
at the March 12, 2012 City Commission Regular Meeting, we will be able to have you and your Committee
personally address the City Commission. It is our plan that at least one representative (if not you and all of
your fellow Committee Members) will attend this upcoming City Commission Meeting and address the Mayor
and City Commission on your Committee. Your presentation can also be a way to introduce your Members to
the public, and to give you all a chance to outline some of the things you have accomplished over the past
year, or to perhaps mention any issue you may want to discuss with the City Commission.
Some of the things that you are more than welcome to address are:
➢ Your Committee's role
➢ Previous annual accomplishments
➢ How you see your Committee's role in the future or any plans you may have for the future
➢ Any suggestions your Committee may have regarding potential changes
➢ Any concerns your Committee may have
➢
Is there is anything that we can assist you better with
➢ Anything else...

I would like to respectfully suggest that at tonight's Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District Advisory
Committee Meeting, that you and your Committee discuss the above italicized remarks under "Reports ",
decide if you or a representative of your Committee will represent the Tuscawilla Lighting and
Beautification District Advisory Committee or if all /some of your Committee want to share in a
presentation. Your technical staff representative is also able to assist with any (technical) information you
may wish to share with the Mayor and City Commission.
My Assistant Carol Lallathin will be in attendance tonight at your meeting and will be able to answer any
questions you and your Committee may have. Additionally, if your Committee decides it would like to have
any document(s) shown on the projector screen in the Commission Chambers, or provided to the Mayor and
City Commission during your presentation, this is of course fine, and staff will be glad to assist you with
this.
Thank you again for all you do, and for your assistance with this effort.
Thank you,
A'ncfrea
