The City Cleric requests that the Mayor and City Commission review and Approve Resolution Number 2011 -53 offering their Appreciation and gratitude for the Service of Mr. Tony* Ingria as a previous Member of the Code Enforcement Board. SYNOPSIS: The City Commission has many* Board and Committee Members, and is very appreciative of the service they* provide to the City, to the City Commission, and to Staff. Thus, when a Board or Committee Member resigns, the City Commission has noted their desire to show their gratitude to these Board and Committee Members. Therefore, in each case of a Board or Committee Member resigning their position, the City Commission is requested to Approve a Resolution of Appreciation. Upon Approval by the City Commission, the applicable Board or Committee Member is then contacted by the City Cleric and asked to attend a City Commission Meeting to personally* receive their Resolution of Appreciation from the Mayor and City Commission. Whatever date is agreed upon for the presentation of the Resolution, the presentation is then noticed on the applicable City Commission Agenda, under "Awards and Presentations." CONSIDERATIONS: Mr. Tony* Ingria was fast Appointed to the Code Enforcement Board on July 12, 2010 by Commissioner Rick Brown, Seat Two. Recently*, Mr. Ingria resigned from the Code Enforcement Board. Resolution 2011 -53 has been written in honor of Mr. Ingria's dedicated service to the City of Winter Springs and to the City Commission as a valued Member of the City s Code Enforcement Board. CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA CITY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING - OCTOBER 24, 2011 CONSENT AGENDA ITEM "208" PAGE 2 OF 2 FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact if Resolution Number 2011 -53 is Approved. COMMUNICATION EFFORTS: This Agenda Item Has Been Electronically* Forwarded To The Mayor And City Commission, City Manager, City AttorneNJStaff, And Is Available On The City s Website, LaserFiche, And The Citv Server. Additionally*, Portions Of This Agenda Item Are Taped Verbatim On The Respective Meeting Agenda Which Has Also Been Electronically* Forwarded To The Individuals Noted Above, And Which Is Also Available On The City s Website, LaserFiche, And The City s Server; Has Been Sent To Applicable City* Staff, eAlert/eCitizen Recipients, Media/Press Representatives Who Have Requested Agendas /Agenda Item Information, Homeowner's Associations /Representatives On File With The City, And All Individuals Who Have Requested Such Information. This Information Has Also Been Posted Outside City Hall, Posted Inside City Hall With Additional Copies Available For The General Public, And Posted At Five (5) Different Locations Around The City. Furthermore, This Information Is Also Available To Any* Individual Requestors. City Staff Is Always Willing To Discuss This Agenda Item Or Any Agenda Item With Any Interested Individuals. Upon Approval of this Resolution, the City Cleric will contact Ms. Weisman on behalf of the Mavor and City* Commission, in keeping with what the City Commission has previously* requested. RECOMMENDATION: The City Clerk is requesting that the City Commission review and Approve Resolution Number 2011 -53. ATTACHMENT: "A" — City of Winter Springs' Resolution Number 2011 -53 RESOLUTION NUMBER 2011-53 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO `SONY INGRIA FOR HIS SERVICE ON THE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD. 'WHEREAS, TONY INGRIA has performed an outstanding service to the public by representing the City of Winter Springs on the Code Enforcement Board since being Appointed on July 12, 2010; and 'WHEREAS, the work and efforts of TONY INGRIA has greatly benefited his neighbors and the residents of Winter Springs; and 'WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, wish to express their appreciation and acknowledgement on behalf of the citizens of Winter Springs and to commend TONY INGRIA for his conscientious and faithful service. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida that: SECTION I. — That this Resolution of Appreciation for the service of TONY INGRIA be recorded upon the Public Records and Minutes of said City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida. SECTION 11. — That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to TONY INGRIA with our heartfelt thanks for a job well done!
