Re: Cases 11- 0025024, 11- 00250221, 11-0025021, 11- 0025024
Mr. Roberts,
W S 2,
In lieu of our conversation on the phone in regards to the code violations that I have listed for your house,
holding these cases until the April is as long of a time as I am willing to give to correct the violations. I am
willing to set up a time to meet with you at your house, so that I can put my mind at ease that the living
conditions are sanitary and appropriate for a human then I will be willing to extend the time for the
corrections to be made.
I have since our conversation been by the house a few times and have found that the ceiling in the garage,
and the soffits are falling and missing. I didn't write these violations up as of yet, because I would stilt Tike
to talk with you and make sure we are on the same page as far as what corrections need to be made.
The severity of the violations found like the ceiling in the garage missing, the soffits falling; the rotten walls
and the broken garage door are all means for rats, and other critters to inhabit your house, regardless of the
amounts of cats in the area. The cats can pose another health hazard, as you stated you did not smell the
odor at the front door, and I understand that but it leaves me to believe that the inside of the house possibly
smells that way also, and can lead to serious health issues also.
Part of my job is to ensure public safety, and that includes the health of the public and inhabited structures. I
am willing to work with you so that you may make the repairs, but please understand that I also need to put
my mind at ease by making sure you are living in an appropriate environment. I would like to talk with
your son, so that I may be able to get him to help us by working on the property with you so that there is no
issue in regards to the time it will take to correct the problems.
Sincerely,
0-G
