Meeting Authorization REQUEST: The Community Development Department is requesting that the City Commission approve Resolution Number 2011-25 recognizing the retirement of Michael W. Mingea from the position of City Arborist. SYNOPSIS: The City Commission is very appreciative of all employees who faithfully serve the citizens of the City of Winter Springs. For long-serving employees, the City Commission has expressed their interest in presenting such employees with a Resolution of the City Commission at a regularly scheduled meeting. In such cases, a Resolution is submitted to the City Commission on the Consent Agenda for approval. Upon approval by the City Commission, the applicable employee is either presented with the Resolution at the same Commission Meeting to receive their Resolution. CONSIDERATION: Employee Michael W. Mingea began his career with the City of Winter Springs in April of 1999 as the Environmental Inspector for the Community Development Department. In June of 1999, Mr. Mingea was certified as a Code Enforcement Officer and was later promoted to the position of City Arborist. M last day with the City will be on June 29, 2011. Resolution Number 2011-25 is being submitted as part of the Consent Agenda for the June 27, 2011 City Commission meeting to receive Commission approval. During the section of the meeting, an executed original of Resolution 2011-25 will be presented to Michael W. Mingea in honor of his 12 years of service with the City of Winter Springs. COMMUNICATION EFFORTS: This Agenda Item Has Been Electronically Forwarded To The Mayor And City Commission, City Manager, City Attorney/Staff, And All eAlert/eCitizen Recipients; Additionally, Portions Of This Agenda Item Are Typed Verbatim On The Respective Meeting Agenda Which Has Also Been Electronically Forwarded To The Individuals Noted Above; And W Associations/Representatives On File With The City, And All Individuals Who Have Requested Such Information; And Has Been Posted Outside City Hall; Posted Inside City Hall With Additional Copies Available For The General Public; And Posted At Five (5) Different Locations Around The City. MINGEA has provided the residents of Winter Springs with 12 years of dedicated and distinguished service in the Winter Springs Community Development Department; and WHEREAS, MICHAEL W.
