Authorization REQUEST: The City Clerk requests that the City Commission review and Approve Resolution Number 2011 -27 offering their Appreciation for the Service of Ms. Lidya Gongage as a recent Member of the Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District Advisory Committee. SYNOPSIS: The City Commission has many Board and Committee Members, and is very appreciative of the service they provide to the City, to the City Commission, and to Staff. Thus, when a Board or Committee Member resigns or when a Board/Committee is sunsetted, the City Commission has noted their desire to show their Gratitude to these Board or Committee Members. Therefore, in each case of a Board or Committee Member resigning their position, or when a Board/Committee is sunsetted, the City Commission is requested to Approve a Resolution of Appreciation. Upon Approval by the City Commission, the applicable Board or Committee Member is then contacted by the City Clerk and asked to attend a future City Commission Regular Meeting to personally receive their Resolution of Appreciation from the Mayor and City Commission. Whatever date is agreed upon for the Presentation of the Resolution, the Presentation is then noticed on the applicable Agenda, under "Awards and Presentations ". CONSIDERATIONS: Ms. Lidya Gongage was first Appointed to the Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District Advisory Committee on June 22, 2009 by Commissioner Sally McGinnis, Seat Four. Resolution 2011 -27 has been written in honor of Ms. Gongage's service to the City of Winter Springs and to the City Commission as a Member of the City's Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District Advisory Committee. CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA CITY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING - JUNE 27, 2011 CONSENT AGENDA ITEM "201" PAGE 2 OF 2 FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact with Approval of Resolution Number 2011 -27. COMMUNICATION EFFORTS: This Agenda Item Has Been Electronically Forwarded To The Mayor And City Commission, City Manager, City Attorney /Staff, And Is Available On The City's Website, LaserFiche, And The City's Server. Additionally, Portions Of This Agenda Item Are Typed Verbatim On The Respective Meeting Agenda Which Has Also Been Electronically Forwarded To The Individuals Noted Above; And Which Is Also Available On The City's Website, LaserFiche, And The City's Server; Has Been Sent To City Staff, Media/Press Representatives Who Have Requested Agendas /Agenda Item Information, Homeowner's Associations/ Representatives On File With The City, And All Individuals Who Have Requested Such Information; And Has Been Posted Outside City Hall; Posted Inside City Hall With Additional Copies Available For The General Public; And Posted At Five (5) Different Locations Around The City. This Agenda Item Is Also Available To Any New Individual Requestors. City Staff Is Always Willing To Discuss This Agenda Item With Any Interested Individuals. RECOMMENDATION: The City Clerk is requesting that the City Commission review and Approve Resolution Number 2011 -27. Upon Approval of this Resolution, the City Clerk will then contact Ms. Gongage regarding an official Presentation in her honor by the Mayor and City Commission. WHEREAS, LIDYA GONGAGE has performed an outstanding service to the public by representing the City of Winter Springs on the Tuscawilla Lighting And Beautification District Advisory Committee since being Appointed on June 22, 2009; and WHEREAS, the work and efforts of LIDYA GONGAGE has greatly benefited her neighbors and the residents of Winter Springs; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, wish to express their appreciation and acknowledgement on behalf of the citizens of Winter Springs and to commend LIDYA GONGAGE for her conscientious and faithful service. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida that: SECTION I. - That this Resolution of Appreciation for the service of LIDYA GONGAGE be recorded upon the Public Records and Minutes of said City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida.
