CRITICAL TIMELINE FOR DATA DEVELOPMENT AND REVIEW
The following timeline is identified based on compliance with the July 2011 statutory deadline for
implementation of mobility strategies and funding:
December 2010
• Refinement &Approval of Tasks & Schedule
• Discussion & Approval of Definitions [Bike Lanes, Bike Routes and Multi -use Paths /Trails]
January 2011
• Completion of Basic Baseline Inventory of Sidewalks within Priority Areas. Priority areas are those
areas within 1 /4 mile of existing schools, parks, or transit fixed service routes
• Completion of Basic Baseline Inventory of Designated Bike Lanes, Bike Routes and Multi - use Paths or
Trails within Priority Areas. Priority areas are those areas which create an east -west, north -south
grid pattern at 1 -1/2 mile intervals across the City
• Identification of Service Gaps based on Priority Areas (QLOS)
• Revisions to Conceptual Bicycle Pedestrian Mobility Network Map

• BPAC Adoption of Bicycle & Pedestrian Mobility Network Map(s)
• Project Identification, Prioritization, and rough Estimation of Cost (5 -year plan) for inclusion into
current Five Year Capital Improvements Program and Schedule of Capital Improvements

• LPA Recommendation/Commission Adoption of Bicycle & Pedestrian Mobility Network Map(s);
Project Identification, Prioritization, and rough Estimation of Cost (5 -year plan) for inclusion into

• Public Hearings for Proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendments related to Mobility Strategies and
