HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2010-48 Retirement of Chuck Pula Director Parks and Recreation Department RESOLUTION NUMBER 2010 -4a A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING CHUCK PULA FOR HIS 11 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS AN EMPLOYEE OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS; AND EXPRESSING OUR APPRECIATION ON BEHALF OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. i HEREAS, CHUCK PULA has provided the residents of Winter Springs with 11 years of dedicated and distinguished service in the Winter Springs Parks and Recreation Department; and WHEREAS, CHUCK PULA joined the City of Winter Springs on June 28, 1999 as the Director of Parks and Recreation bringing with him 25 years of career excellence in the Parks and Recreation field; and WHEREAS, CHUCK PULA guided his Farks and Recreation team to three National Awards recognizing the Central Winds Parks complex as the best in the nation; and WHEREAS, CHUCK PULA was responsible for the City receiving approximately $3.2 million in grants during his tenure to propel the parks system to higher levels of excellence and to expand the services available to the residents of Winter Springs. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida as follows: SECTION I — That the Mayor and Commission, City Manager, and Staff of the City of Winter Springs upon the occasion of CHUCK PULA'S retirement takes great pleasure to recognize and honor him for his uncommon level of distinguished service to the residents of Winter Springs through his employment in the Winter Springs Farks and Recreation Department. SECTION II — That this Resolution commending the services of CHUCK PULA be recorded upon the official Public Records and Minutes of this City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida. SECTION III — That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to CHUCK PULA with our sincerest thanks for his many contributions.
