ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT MANAGER
City of Deltona, Deltona, FL 05/2022 to Current
Organize and implement programs based on the City's Economic Development Strategic Plans. Promote and
assist with the expansion and retention of existing businesses located within the City. Assist in efforts to foster
corporate attraction and relocation of new businesses into the City. Perform research and report specialized
demographic and financial information. Prepare grant applications and perform grant management for economic
development projects. Provide marketing support to the Office of Economic Development. Work with other City
departments in cross departmental projects to assist developers and business owners with site planning, zoning,
platting, incentives, and other regulatory issues associated with redevelopment and economic development,
including the Southwest Deltona Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). Assist with marketing projects and
events.
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
City of Lakeland, Lakeland, FL 10/2019 to 10/2021
Directed projects for Lakeland Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) to stimulate development and
to reinvigorate blighted conditions in the city. Managed Project Manager team and lead complex CRA projects
such as new construction, Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Planning/ Budgeting, and Small Area Plans and
Studies. Represented the CRA at speaking engagements. Administered over $7.4M in project budgets.
Upon hire, assigned to lead a "dead" project to build a new office building to lease to a community -based
tenant/business partner. Led steps to produce new building and site plans and secured permitting,
rezoning, and funding approval from elected officials. The $1.3M building will open in the Fall of 2021.
Directed the Dixieland Art Infusion Grant Program with a $450,000 budget providing awnings, facade
improvements, and original mural artwork in over 75 blank "canvasses" on local buildings.
Championed business improvement initiatives, including a $340K renovation that allowed a restaurant
business to expand operational capacity by 25%.
Worked directly with 4 architectural firms, 4 engineering / geotechnical engineering firms, 2 appraisal
companies, and 1 attorney on $3.1 M in CRA projects and $1.9M in Economic Development Incentives.
Lead Project Manager partnering with an Architect, CRA team, and the CRA advisory board to create
development design guidelines for the award -winning Mass Market Area Plan in the Midtown District.

Directed strateav and operations for Workforce Development proarams and initiatives in Macon -Bibb Countv,
Georaia. servina over 150.000 residents. Led a staff of 6 accountable for connectina talent (career seekers)
with opportunities (employers). Administered over $3.5M In Federal and State grants.
Exceeded all State mandated measures, providing outstanding career services to over 12,000 adults and
2,000 youth between 2016 and 2018, with 80% of all clients employed within 1 year of services.
Secured a $1.25M Sector Partnership Grant to create workforce development programs with regional
partners to connect area talent to employer opportunities and to conduct industry needs assessments.
Received the National Association of Development Organization Innovation Award for developing and
launching the E3 (Educated, Empowered, Employed) Workforce Initiative.
Managed a portfolio of community support programs, including Adult Programs, Youth Programs, On -the -
Job Training, Rapid Response (for upcoming layoffs), and Special Grants such as the Sector Partnership
National Emergency Grant (SPNEG) for manufacturing jobs.
118 applicants successfully completed the Manufacturing Fundamentals Program. Participants earned one
of five certifications through Central Georgia Technical College and secured full-time employment.
In FY2018, led strategic partnerships focused on Industry Sector job placements. Collaborated with 30
community -based employers, 9 government, and 30 manufacturing employers to fill open positions.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR — ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS
Cobb County Government, Marietta, GA 11/2011 to 07/2016
Promoted to lead Keep Cobb Beautiful, Inc. and spearhead a 21-member volunteer board championing the
mission of environmental stewardship, sustainability, waste management (litter prevention and recycling), and
water conservation in the county. Served on the county government's Green Task Force. Led a team of 6 and
administered a budget of $600K, including operating budget and project grants.
Facilitated bilateral communications between local/state government partners, businesses, and community
groups. Presented reports to the County Manager's Office and to the Solid Waste Management Authority.
During tenure, Cobb County received 10 Keep America Beautiful Affiliate Awards, including 2013 Keep
Georgia Beautiful Foundation Awards for Government Recycling & Waste Reduction, and more.
In 2014, Cobb County obtained Silver Status, and in 2016, achieved Gold Status in the Atlanta Regional
Commission Green Communities Program, demonstrating leadership on environmental sustainability.
Accelerated the county's Adopt -A -Mile Program with over 4,000 volunteers. Received the 2016 award for
Litter Prevention from Keep America Beautiful and Keep Georgia Beautiful.

Coordinated end -to -end planning, implementation, and monitoring of high -visibility economic development and
redevelopment activities for a county with a population of 750,000. Provided professional analysis and support
on urban/ regional development, land use plans, and zoning cases, and technical assistance to the South Cobb
Redevelopment Authority Board. Produced/Updated annual Tax Allocation District (TAD), Business Compliance
reports, and economic development publications. Implemented the county's first online site inventory tool.
