CITY COMMISSION AGENDA | FEBRUARY 9, 2026 REGULAR MEETING
TITLE
Matters Related to Boards and Committees
SUMMARY
The City Clerk Department wishes to inform the City Commission of the following
vacancies:
CURRENT VACANCIES:
Board of Trustees - Terms for three (3) members expired January 1, 2026
Seat One: Term Expires January 1, 2030 (open to the full Commission)*
Seat Two: Term Expires January 1, 2028 (open to the full Commission)*
Seat Five: Term Expires January 1, 2030 (open to the full Commission)*
Code Enforcement Board
Seat Three: Term Expires July 31, 2027 (open to the full Commission)*
Veteran and Veteran Families Advisory Committee
Seat Three: Term Expires February 1, 2029
*Per Section 2-41(e) of the City Code, "If any commissioner fails to appoint a member
within thirty (30) days after a vacancy occurs or a term expires, that seat shall be filled by
a majority vote of the commission."
Additional applications were also received for the Volunteer City Chaplain position. The
City Commission can choose to appoint additional chaplains for 2026 at their discretion.
