TITLE
Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Calendar
SUMMARY
Approval of the Budget Calendar is needed in order to establish a timeline for the FY
2027 budget process. The most critical events have been emphasized/bolded on the
attached proposed FY 2027 Budget Calendar. The proposed millage rate, rolled back rate,
and public hearing must be sent to Property Appraiser within 35 days of certification of
value. This is currently estimated to be August 4, 2026.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Commission approve the FY 2027 Budget Calendar or
amend as it deems necessary.

August 24 Deadline for Property Appraiser to send TRIM Notice to
property owners
(Considered notification of Tentative public hearing; must
be mailed by PA within 55 days of value certification)

earlier than 65 days after certification)

September 24 Advertisement publication date (Thursday for Seminole
Extra) for final millage and budget hearing

Final millage and budget hearing - Adoption of final
millage and budget must be done separately and in that
