Authorization The Parks and Recreation Department is notifying the City Commission of the status of the Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant regarding acquisition of the Wincey Property. PURPOSE: The purpose of this item is to update the City Commission on the status of the grant application. CONSIDERATIONS: . On April 28, 2003 the City Commission approved the submission of a Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant for the potential acquisition of the Wincey Property. . The City of Winter Springs; Central Winds Park Expansion II (Wincey Property) Scored lout of 11 acquisition projects. This ranking bid qualified the city to receive funding in the amount of $ 200,000 for acquisition of the Wincey Property. . On August 11,2003, The City Commission was informed of grant approval. . On January 26,2004, the City Commission approved execution of the DEP, LWCF Grant for acquisition of the Central Winds Park Expansion Property (Wincey Property). . The $ 200,000 Grant was committed to the purchase ofthe Wincey Property. FUNDING: $ 200,000 matching funds from Wincey Acquisition. RECOMMENDATIONS: None Required.
