Mr. Terry Chancey
Mid-Florida Pop Warner
Dear Mr. Chancey:
The purpose of this letter is to provide an update on the current state of affairs regarding
the Winter Springs Grizzlies Pop Wamer organization. Since the special board meeting
on May 15 attended by officials from the City of Winter Springs and Mr. Armye
Witherspoon, the following important progress points have been reached:
. The President and Director of Scholastics for the league have resigned, and have
been replaced through an open nomination process.
. The ten families who were dismissed from the league by the previous Board of
Directors have been reinstated to the league in good standing via certified mail
from the current Board of Directors.
. A working group of three parents/football coaches and three parents/cheerleading
coaches have prepared a proposed set of by-laws and submitted these to the Board
of Directors for their review and approval.
These are important steps toward creating a positive environment for our young student-
athletes and our community. With the start of the season less than two months away,
much work remains. We will provide you with further updates as the season approaches.
Very truly yours,
David Harrison
