REQUEST: City Manager Providing the City Commission with Information on Property
Appraisals for Discussion.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Agenda Item is to respond to the City Commission request to
review the information on City property for which appraisals were received.
CONSIDERA TIONS:
Staff solicited property appraisals on four parcels of City property last year. The
appraisals were received in July, 2003. The appraisals were performed by William Pardue
of LandAmerica Commercial Appraisal Corporation. A summary of the appraisals is listed
below. However, a review of the Parcel D appraisal appears to be for the wrong location
as that area is predominantly wetlands. Staff will get an appraisal ofthe uplands at the
southwest corner of Parcel E closest to the Civic Center which has about 1 acre of
buildable property.

The property appraiser was provided wetlands information from 1995 on C that
was previously delineated by a consultant. This information should be reverified if a
decision was made to consider selling. The full appraisals for each parcel can be provided
