RESULTS:
. 47 participants attempted to donate blood, and 41 pints of blood was collected.
. Of the 200 plus City Employees, over 20% attempted to donate blood.
. This was not the most successful Blood Drive for the City of Winter Springs. The previous
r~cord was set back in April 2003 when 63 pints of blood was collected. The Blood Bank
informs us that donor participation is down and encourages all to donate more frequently. We
are hopeful that next years drive will even be more successful than this year. Furthermore,
employees are encouraged to donate throughout the year to help eliminate the blood shortage
cnSlS.
. The most successful blood drive occurred in April 2002 where 63 pints of blood were
collected.
