Dear~~
On July 23,2003, Bob Ballard, Deputy Secretary for Land and Recreation of the Department of
Environmental Protection gave approval to award a $200,000.00 Land and Water Conservation Fund
Program (L WCF) grant to City of Winter Springs.
If the grant is accepted, inform us in writing by August 8, 2003.. If you will not use the entire grant

approved unfunded projects.
We appreciate your cooperation returning the documentation requested in the Federal Application
Requirements packet sent to you on May 12,2003. As Collier Clark explained to you earlier, these
documents are required for federal approval of the application and would be needed by August 4,
2003. We hope to receive federal approval in September. Please note that project costs incurred prior
to federal approval, other than pre-approved acquisition, will not be eligible for reimbursement.
We look forward to working with you in securing federal approval of the application and seeing this
worthwhile outdoor recreation project through to completion. If you have any questions or comments,
please contact Collier Clark at (850) 488-7896.
