PETITION
I am opposed to the proposed Large-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment Change as
applied for by Keewin Real Property Company for .the 47.27 acres owned by Walt Dittmer
between Shepard Road and Florida Avenue in Winter Springs. I believe changing the City
of Winter Springs' comprehensive plan to remove 47.27 acres of Light Industrial and PUD
Commercial uses and replace with 47.27 acres of Medium Density Residential will
adversely affect the city's future ability to sustain itself as well as adversely affect the
health, safety, and welfare of the existing residents of the Highlands community and
surrounding neighborhoods. This includes, but is not limited to, the negative impacts to
traffic on roads (Shepard Rd., Sheoah, Blvd., & Florida Ave.), Highlands Elementary and
other schools servicing the Highlands community children, recreational services, police
and fire/rescue services, potable water, drainage, etc.
