01/07/03 -Tom: There are no systemics that are beneficial in treating caterpillars.
What works on aphids and lace bugs will not have the same effect. Also, chemicals
banned from the market that worked well (with ingredients for the chemical to stick to the
leaf so as to kill the caterpillars every time they bite into a part of the leaf) are no longer
available. Currently using contact sprays that are immediately lethal. Using the current
chemicals repeatedly as they have no long lasting residual qualities.
