THESE ISLANDS WERE VISITED ON MAY 7. 2002
CHARLES STREET ISLAND
ANT MOUNDS ARE STILL AN ISSUE
FOUNTAIN GRASS AND HEATHER CONTINUE TO RECOVER
HOLLY BUSHES ON THE END CAP ARE ON THE DECLINE
MUCH OF THE TURF IS DEAD GETTING MUCH WORSE
PALMS STILL NEED TRIMMING
PALM FRONDS PULLING DOWN POWER LINE TO STREET LIGHT
PALM BOOTS STILL LAYING IN LANDSCAPED AREAS
VINES STILL GROWING IN 434 PALM TREE
WEEDS ARE WORSE THIS MONTH THAN LAST VISIT
NO SIGNS OF FERTILIZATION ON TURF AND PLANTS
MOSS ROAD ISLANDS
ISLAND AT 434:
REPEAT EXCESSIVE GRASS AND DIRT AT CURB EDGE AROUND ISLAND
CRACK WEEDS STILL AN ISSUE IN STREET AT CURB
AZTEC GRASS BUTCHERED BUT COMING BACK
LANTANA (LA VENDER) STILL FULL OF WEEDS
AFRICAN IRIS CUT DOWN STILL NOT THINNED
RADICAN GARDENIAS ARE MOSTLY DEAD BY THIS MONTH (18 3-GAL)
SAGO PALM PLANTING AREAS HAS EXCESSIVE WEED SAGO PUTTING ON SEED HEAD
TURF IN POOR CONDITION EXTREMELY DRY DEAD IN SOME AREAS AND FULL WEEDS
NO SIGNS OF ANY FERTILIZATION
PALMS LOOK OUTSTANDING
#2 ISLAND:
ASIA TIC JASMINE BED STILL HAS SOME LARGE WEEDS
HA WTHORNES ARE READY FOR A TRIM - REMOVE DEAD BRANCHES
LANTANA (LAVENDER) STILL HAS MULTITUDE OF WEEDS
EXCESSIVE GRASS AND DIRT AT CURB EDGE AROUND ISLAND
SOME ANT MOUNDS BUT NOT AS BAD AS IN THE PAST
HOLLY TREES STILL HA VE SUCKERS
MURPHY RD ISLAND:
STILL SOME STREET CRACK WEEDS
AZALEAS DE SPERA TE NEED OF FERTILIZER
CONTINUE TO TRIM LANTANA WEEKLY EDGE OVER STREET SIDE
OAK TREE AND CREPES STILL HAVE SUCKERS
OAK TREE STAKES NEED TO BE REMOVED OR REPLACED
PALM TREE BOOTS STILL LAYING IN THE LANDSCAPED AREAS
TURF STILL AN ISSUE MAKES THE WHOLE ISLAND LOOK BAD!

EVALUATION:
IMPROVEMENT OVER MY LAST MONTHS VISIT. IT APPEARS THAT MANY OF THE
WEEDS WERE LINE TRIMMED DOWN AND ARE STARTING TO COME BACK OUT.
THE TURF ON ALL ISLANDS IS IN REAL DESPERATE NEED OF PEST CONTROL, WEED
CONTROL, AND FERTILIZER.
