The current plan calls for dwarf pink ixora and dwarf purple pentas. Since both of these plants are subject to die back during freeze conditions and this sign will be located along the open 434 roadway, we would prefer to use dwarf white azaleas in place of the ixoras. Then, should a hard freeze hit, we wouldn't lose the entire planting. We would suggest retaining the dwarf pentas because of their brilliant, showy color. We appreciate the opportunity to be involved in the beautification of our fine city. Sincerely, Carol Morrison Chairperson Beautification of Winter Springs Board CM/alll BOARDS/beautifi/fy9798/correspo/0003. doc MEMORANDUM TO: Carol Momson, Chairperson, Beautification of Winter Springs Board FROM: Andrea Lorenzo-Luaces, Deputy City Cler SUBJECT: Letter to Kip Lockcuff DATE: January 19, 1998 Please find attached the typed "final" original letter (along with a copy of the draft) that you and your Board Members composed at the January I4, 1998 meeting.
