Dear Kip:
With regards to the landscape plan for the new signage at City Hall, the Beautification of
Winter Springs Board (B.O.W.S.) would like to suggest a change in the plant material.
The current plan calls for dwarf pink ixora and dwarf purple pentas. Since both of these
plants are subject to die back during freeze conditions and this sign will be located along
the open 434 roadway, we would prefer to use dwarf white azaleas in place of the ixoras.
Then, should a hard freeze hit, we wouldn't lose the entire planting.
We would suggest retaining the dwarf pentas because of their brilliant, showy color.
We appreciate the opportunity to be involved in the beautification of our fine city.
Sincerely,
Carol Morrison
