goal is to come up with a list of rules and regulations for the Winter Springs Paw
Park at the meeting.

The general consensus among park officials regarding
dog park rules is to 'keep them as simple as possible.
Unless thE' Dog Park wants to pay an attendant to
monitor park activities, simplicity is the easiest avenue
to ensure that rules are followed. Generally, peer
influence between dog owners is enough to enforce
park rules. Parks on the smaller side tend to have the
most success in rule enforcement since the dog owners
are all within view of one another's actions. The
following are a set of rules, universal to most existing
dog parks.
. Dog feces must be cleaned up by owners.
. Dog owners must be in the park and within view of
their dogs.
. Dogs must be removed from the Dog Park at the
first sign of aggression.
. Dog owners must have a leash in hand at all times.
. Keep small children and infants under strict
supervision.
. LEASH dogs while entering and exiting the Dog
Park.
. Female dogs in heat are prohibited from entering to
the Dog Park.
. Fill any hole your dog digs (it may be helpful to
provide a shovel on the grounds for this purpose).
. Aggressive dogs are not permitted on the premises.
. Dogs should be under voice control (I.e. They
should come when called by their owners).
All dog owners who fail to comply with the above rules
can be ticketed by park police and animal control
officers.
