complaints,
PURPOSE:

code enforcement complaints.
CONSIDERA TIONS:
An anonymous letter was received by Commissioner Miller bringing some code violations to the
Commissioners attention, The issues raised are as follows;
1, Commercial vehicles in the neighborhood on weekends and evenings. Currently, code
enforcement staff are not available for evenings and weekends.
2, Blocking of sidewalks by vehicles in the evening hours, Again, code enforcement is not
available to address these concerns in the off-hours,
3. Disabled vehicle at 640 Pearl Rd. The property owner has been cited for this violation,
4. Unlicensed vehicles at 632 Pearl Rd.. The property owner has been charged and found in
violation by the Code Enforcement Board, An appropriate relief order is in place that places a
fine against the property each time a violation reoccurs,
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Commission review the information presented,

Dear Sir:
When you were going to run for your commission seat, you talked to many of us in the
community. When we talked to you about the lack of code enforcement, you said it would be a
priority. It apparently is not, I can go a block in any direction from my home and see many
problems - such as:
1) The comer of Temple Way and Shore has a dump truck towing a large trailer parked at
this comer every night and weekend'.
2) 644 Pearl has a large truck blocking the sidewalk each night.
3) 640 Pearl has an old car (Oldsmobile) in the yard that has not moved in months,
4) 632 Pearl has 8 to 10 cars on the lawn, sidewalk, all over - every day. Some are "for sale"
and some do not have plates,
5) 705 Alton has a chemical bug truck out front - many times the chemical smell is very
strong, and I think: it is unhealthful to walk by.
There are many more - you must see them - you live in the neighborhood. When will something
be done? I will consider this at election time,
I am-
A concerned neighbor and voter
