REQUEST:
The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting that the City
Commission review its policy regarding Special Events and Vendors and
make any changes they deem necessary.
PURPOSE:
To review the Parks and Recreation Policy regarding Special Events and
Vendors and make any changes they deem necessary.
CONSIDERATIONS:
. At the May 14, 2007 meeting the City Commission requested the Parks and Recreation
Department Policy regarding Special Events and City Vendors.
. The Parks and Recreation Policy regarding Town Center Special Events (Hometown
Harvest, Christmas Tree Lighting, and Dancing under the Stars) is:
No fee is charged to participate.
Vendors in the Town Center may set-up outside on the sidewalk.
Vendors who offer similar or competing products or services to Town Center Merchants
are unable to participate but are encouraged to participate in Central Winds Park Special
Events.
Vendors who have different products or services are allowed to advertise and promote
their business (Photography, Cake Decoration).
. The Parks and Recreation policy regarding Central Winds Park Special Events is:
July 4th
The event is open to all Food and Beverage Vendors (Excluding Alcohol). There is a fee
of $ 250.00
The event is open to all General Vendors. There is a fee of$ 100.00
(General Vendors may not sell Rotary Partnership Items or Services).
There is an Exclusive Alcohol Vendor and Fee of$ 750.00
Spring and Holiday Concert
The events are open to all Food and Beverage Vendors (Excluding Alcohol),
Craft/Artists, and General Exhibitors. There is no fee to participate.
The Exclusive Alcohol Vendor provides Sponsor Tent Food and Beverages.
. The Parks and Recreation Policy regarding the Holiday Parade is:
The parade is open to all Food and Beverage Vendors (Excluding Alcohol) and General
Vendors. There is permit required through Community Development. There is a fee of
$ 30.00.

RECOMMENDA TIONS:
The Parks and Recreation Department recommends approval of the Parks and Recreation Special
Event Vendor Policy with any changes they deem necessary.
