Dear Bill:
.,
This letter responds to your request regarding documented
bald eagle nesting activity at territory SE-22 in Seminole
County. Our records indicate that territory SE-22 has not been
occupied by eagles since 1987. According to the "Habitat
Management Guidelines for the Bald Eagle in the Southeastern
Region," territories that have been unoccupied for 2.5 consecutive
years are considered abandoned and no longer subject to the
recommendations set forth in the Guidelines. The Florida Game
and Fresh Water Fish Commission' follows the Guidelines, and
accordingly considers territory SE-22 to be abandoned.
Sincerely,
M' a - ~'
