Our records indicate that territory SE-22 has not been occupied by eagles since 1987. According to the "Habitat Management Guidelines for the Bald Eagle in the Southeastern Region," territories that have been unoccupied for 2.5 consecutive years are considered abandoned and no longer subject to the recommendations set forth in the Guidelines. The Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission' follows the Guidelines, and accordingly considers territory SE-22 to be abandoned. Sincerely, M' a - ~' ~ie A.
