Planner)
Dear Chairman Dallari and Commissioners,
As a friend of the Black Hammock Community, I have listened to concerns voiced by Mr. Don
Peterson regarding a proposal for Seminole County to vacate an abandoned road segment of
Deleon Street, near the former intersection of HWY 434.
I am aware that the neighboring residents of Winter Springs share Mr. Peterson's concerns for
traffic safety at the current intersection of Deleon Street with HWY 434. It is further clear to all
concerned that a road improvement project for this intersection will be necessary in the near
future, further impacting the neighboring residents of Winter Springs. I view these matters of
safety and road improvement as issues of concern for the citizens and City of Winter Springs.
I therefore urge you to thoroughly review the potential impact to safety and road improvement
at the current intersection of Deleon Street and HWY 434, prior to making your decision to
vacate and abandon the former roadway.
Sincerely,
~~ ~onrler
