CITY COMMISSION
ATTORNEY-CLIENT SESSION
JANUARY 8, 2001
I. CALL TO ORDER
The Attorney-Client Session of January 8, 2001 was called to order by Mayor Paul P.
Partyka at approximately 5 :30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal
Building (City Hall, 1126 East State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida 32708).
ROLL CALL:
Mayor Paul P. Partyka, present
Deputy Mayor David W. McLeod, present
Commissioner Robert S. Miller, present
Commissioner Mich~~ S. Blake, present
Commissioner Edward Martinez, Jr., present
Commissioner Cindy Gennell, absent
City Manager Ronald W. McLemore, present
City Attorney Anthony A. Garganese, present
The Attorney-Client Session was estimated to last approximately forty-five (45) minutes.
Mayor Partyka stated that "Pursuant To Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, The City
Attorney Will Be Seeking The Advice Of The City Commission Regarding Settlement
Negotiations And Strategy Related To Litigation Expenditures Concerning The Pending
Litigation Titled 'City Of Oviedo, and Seminole County, Florida v. City of Winter
Springs' - Circuit Court Of The Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, In And For Seminole
County, Florida - Case Number 00-89 AP."
Mayor Partyka added that the following individuals were scheduled to be in attendance:
Mayor Paul P. Partyka, Deputy Mayor David W. McLeod, Commissioner Robert S.
Miller, Commissioner Michael S. Blake, Commissioner Edward Martinez, Jr.,
Commissioner Cindy Gennell, City Manager Ronald W. McLemore, City Attorney
Anthony A. Garganese, and a Court Reporter. Mayor Partyka added that this Attorney-
Client Session was estimated to last "No more than one (1) hour."
Mayor Partyka then adjourned to the "Closed Session." All parties who were not
permitted to attend, left the Commission Chambers.

Seeking The Advice Of The City Commission Regarding Settlement Negotiations
And Strategy Related To Litigation Expenditures Concerning The Pending

The "Closed Session" then commenced regarding '''City Of Oviedo, and Seminole
County, Florida v. City of Winter Springs' - Circuit Court Of The Eighteenth Judicial
Circuit, In And For Seminole County, Florida - Case Number 00-89 AP."
III. ADJOURNMENT
At the conclusion of the "Closed Session," Mayor Partyka re-opened the meeting to the
public at approximately 6:27 p.m.

SECONDED. DISCUSSION.
MOTION BY COMMISSIONER BLAKE.
VOTE:
COMMISSIONER MILLER: AYE

COMMISSIONER MARTINEZ: AYE

MOTION CARRIED.
The meeting was adjourned by Mayor Partyka at approximately 6:28 p.m.
