HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991 02 25 Regular 90-91-10 REGULAR MEETING CITY COMMISSION CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS FEBRUARY 25, 1991 The Regular Meeting of the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, was called to order by Mayor Philip A. Kulbes at 7:30 p.m. Roll Call: Mayor Philip A. Kulbes, present Deputy Mayor Paul P. Partyka, present City Manager Richard Rozansky, present City Attorney Frank Kruppenbacher, present Commissioners: Cindy Kaehler, present Don Jonas, present John Langellotti, present Terri Donnelly, present The invocation was given by Commissioner Terri Donnelly and the pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Commissioner John Langellotti. Approval of minutes of Regular Meeting of Feb. 11, 1991: On page 4, under "Request of Marjorie Malich", the minutes are to be amended to reflect the complainant, Mr. Marvin Moore, 120 Camphorwood, was present and spoke against the request. The minutes stand approved as amended. There was no public comment. General Agenda: First reading of Ord. No. 501, vacating, abandoning and closing all that portion of road right-of-way, known as Orange Ave., lying south of and adjacent to Lot 9 and Lot 10 and north of Lot 11, Blk. B, D.R.Mitchell Survey, etc.: Attorney Kruppenbacher read Ord. No. 501 by title only on first reading. Resolution No. 660, granting authorization to apply for a public railroad/highway grade crossing, etc.: Attorney Kruppenbacher read Resolution No. 660 by title only. Motion was made by Commissioner Kaehler to adopt Resolution No. 660. Seconded by Commissioner Partyka. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Commissioner Jonas, aye; Commissioner Langellotti, aye; Commissioner Donnelly, aye; Commissioner Partyka, aye; Commissioner Kaehler, aye; motion carried. City Manager Richard Rozansky: Tuscawilla Parade of Homes: Manager Rozansky said the Parade of Homes will start March 6, 1991 and end March 26, 1991. They are asking to be allowed to put certain signs up throughout the City and leave them up for the two week period, then they will take them down. Unless the Commission has some problems, Manager Rozansky said he is going to approve the request as he does every year. Appointment to Pension Plan Board of Trustees: Manager Rozansky said the appointment of Mr. Michael Jones as Trustee expires this year, and he does not wish to be reappointed. To follow the policy of the past, Mayor Kulbes would replace Mayor Grove as Trustee. A resolution will be prepared for the next meeting.
