Estimated Costs for Road Construction for Selected Roads (Southern
Section) in the Ranchlands
- ---.
FROM:
SUBJECT :
An evaluation has been made of determining estimated costs to construct
the following roads in the Ranchlands: Fisher Road (Panama to the City Limits) ,
Williams Road (Morton Lane to Fisher Road), Morton Lane, Sunrise Road (Trade
Winds Road to Williams Road) and Herrell Road (Morton Lane to Sunrise Avenue).
Most of the streets in the Ranchlands have fifty (50) foot right-of-ways.
According to Section 14-126 Land Developnent Code, these streets with these
right-of-way widths would require curb (miami curb) and gutter. The roads that
have right-of-ways of at least 60 ft., rural type roads could be built with
swales. Bear in mind swales can be used in the 60 ft. right-of-way provided
the flow of storrrwater in these swales do not exceed 2 fps; otherwise, curb and
gutter will be required as per Section 14-123 Land Development Code.
'Therefore, the cost estimate for the road construction will be based on the
conformance to the Land Developnent Code.
The following are the cost estimates for road construction for the
selected roads in the Ranchlands as previously designated.
