AUGUST 3, 1982
TI1e Workshop Meeting was called to order by Mayor Troy Piland.

Discussion of rate increase - I.W.S.:
Mr . Jennings of I. W . S. was not present.
FY 1982/83 Budget:
TI1e Police Department Budget was reviewed. TI1e increases in insurance were
discussed and the City Manager was asked for inforrmtion as to the increases.
TI1ere was discussion of reducing the utility tax from 4% to 2% or a cut of
approximately $81,000.00 from the budget.
TI1e proposed capital improvements priorities were discussed:
1. Priority #1, providing $10,000 for additional underdrains in the Ranches 8 and 9;
2. Priority #2, resurface Alton Road from Hayes to Mockingbird Lane;
3. Priority #3, complete ditch to Sheoah Creek and resurface Elgin, Sterling,
Falkirk and Galston Drives.
4. Priority #4 - pave Moss Road from S.R. 434 to the Fire Station and install a
traffic control system at S.R. 434.
Discussion followed on paving some of the roads in the Ranchlands. It was suggested
that we have a Workshop Meeting with the Fiscal Agent to discuss different methods
of financing such projects.
