CONSIDERATIONS:
As part of the City Commission Meeting held on February 9, 2009, the City Commission
approved Agenda Item #603, for Staff to raise a minimum of $10,000 towards a budged
event of $61,000 for the City's upcoming 4`h of July Celebration of Freedom / 50`"

• Event T-Shirts will be available for the public to purchase. Staff will be required to wear
the shirts for recognition purposes. The cost for staff shirts is included in the
aforementioned Event Expenses.
• Upcoming Auditions for the Star Spangled Showcase are scheduled to take place at the
Civic Center on Saturday, June 13`h and Saturday, June 20~' from 10 am to Noon. At this
time, we have a great amount of interest from Winter Springs residents whom have
committed to the Auditioning dates with the intention of showcasing their singing talents.
Currently, Commissioner Joanne Krebs and Mark Fisher of the Orlando Philharmonic
