REGULAR SESSION
CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS
SEPTIYBER 5, 1973
The Regular Session of the City Council of the City of Winter Springs, Florida
was called to order by Mayor Brown at 7 :30 p.m. A pledge of allegiance to the
flag was led by Councilman Troy Piland.

Mayor Brown closed the Regular Sessioa and opened the public hearing on the
budget.
Council agreed to transfer $1,500.00 fr-. the Miscellaneous Fund of the Fire
Department Budget to the Salaries & Wages Fund of the Police Department, making
Police Dept. Salaries & Wages 86,151.00.

For the Federal Reveaue Sharing Report, Council agreed to allocate $3,357.00 for
Public Safety in Capital Outlay; $1,000.00 for Recreation Department in Capital
Outlay; and $6,000.00 for Public Safety under Maintenance and Operation.
Council agreed to transfer $500.00 frosa the Hiscellaaeous Fund of the Zoaing
Budaet to the Miscellaneous Fund of the Health & Recreation Budget for the
S_inole County Drug Action COIIBittee.
There was no coaaent frosa the audience.
Mayor Brown closed the public hearing at 8:21 p.m.
Hotion was made by Councilman Booth to approve the minutes of Auaust 29, 1973.
Seconded by Councilun Baker. Discussion. Vote on 'the aotion: Councilman Hiller,
aye; Councilman Baker, aye; Counci1.ma~ Booth, aye; Councilma_ Jordan, aye;
Councilman Piland, aye; motion carried.
aealth & Recreation Report, Councilman Booth reporting.
Councilman Booth gave the monthly Health & Recreation Report.
Zoning & Industrial Report, Councilman Piland reporting:
The last Zoning Board scheduled meeting was August 23, but due to lack of quor_
no meeting was held. The next meeting will be held Sept". 13. Hr. Piland
gave the monthly Building Inspector's Report.
Road & Bridge Report, Councilman Jordan reporting:
Councilman Jordan gave the monthly fiU1lce report of the Jload & Bridge Departaent.
Hr. Jordan is considering the purchase of a new tractor.
Police & Fire Report, Councilman Hiller reporting:
Councilman Miller gave the monthly police and fire department reports.

Mayor's aeport, Mayor Brown reporting:
Hr. Conklin, City Engineer, is attending a sewerage treatment plant seminar
in Tallahassee as our City's representative at no cost to the City.
Mayor BrOWD d.iscussed. the cond.ition of the bus shelters and this is to be put
on the agenda for the next Council Heeting.
Hr. Fre.-an read the second. reading of Ordinance No. 88, School Board. Property
Annexation.
Hotion was made by Councilman Hiller to adopt Ordinance No. 88 on the second.

Councilman Jordan, no; Councibun Piland., aye, motion carried.
