He: Cronk request for speeial dog permit.
Sirs:
Since I am unable to attend the council meeting this evening
please give consideration to this letter regarding this matter.
First of all my family and I at the present time do not care
it' the Cronk family wishes to keep more animals at their home than
the ordinance specifies. However would you please ascertain from them
how many animals they are keeping there and see that all extra animals
are covered by special permit, as is required by the ordinance.
We have been informed that they have kept a third dog t'or quite
a long time without special permit, stating that they did not have to
get a permit for this dog because they had it before the ordinance was
passed. If this is so, then it is at odds witH Mr. Freeman's statement
that the ordinance allows no "grandtathering" and that all extra dogs
must be covered by permit regardless of when acquired.
As stated above, we do not care at all if they wish extra animals;
it is a rural area and they are welcome to them. However, we were informed
that the permit request is for a fourth dog, and that the third dog
still is not covered.
It' they will be required to cover all the animals by permit as
everyone else is required to do, then all will be well.
Thank you,
