JANUARY 3, 1972
The Regular Session of the Village Council of the Village of North
Orlando, Florida was called to order by Mayor Brown at 7:32 p.m.
A pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Councilman. Piland.
Roll Call: Councilmen:
Mayor Granville Brown, present Charles Kelley, present
Vice -Mayor, Charles Rowell, present Herbert Fox, present
Attorney, Thomas Freeman, present W. R. Hurt, present
Troy Piland, present
The fence has been installed in back of the houses on East North
Third Street.
A motion was made by Councilman Hurt to give Mr. Palmer permission to
sign the houses off. Seconded by Councilman Piland. Discussion.
Roll Call Vote; Charles Rowell, aye; Charles Kelley, no; Herbert
Fox, yes; W. R. Hurt, yes; Troy Piland, yes; motion carries.
A motion was made by Councilman Piland to approve the minutes of
December 6, 1971. Seconded by Councilman Fox. Discussion. Motion
carries.
A motion was made by Councilman Fox to approve the minutes of
December 13, 1971• Seconded by Councilman Hurt. Discussion. Motion
carries.
A motion was made by Councilman Rowell to approve the minutes of
December 20, 1971. Seconded by Councilman Kelley. Discussion.
Motion carries.

A motion was made by Councilman Hurt to accept Ordinance No. 69
for the third and final reading by title only. Seconded by
Councilman Piland. Discussion. Motion carries.
A motion was made by Councilman Piland to renew the garbage contract
with H & W Refuse Service Inc. under existing terms for one year
with an option to renew for one more year. Seconded by Councilman
Kelley. Discussion. Motion carries.
The Forth Side Drainage is to be brought up on the 17th of January
as more time is needed for discussion of this problem.
Mr. Lamkin of 200 N. Fairfax said a complaint had been issued
against his truck parked in his driveway.
A motion was made by Councilman Fox to have the Mayor check into
this complaint and report back to the Council. Seconded by
Councilman Piland. Discussion. Motion carries.
A motion was made to adjourn at 8:34 by Councilman Fox. Seconded
by Councilman Hurt.
