The Regular Session of the Village Council of
North Orlando, Florida was called to order by
7:31 p.m. A pledge of allegiance to the flag

Mr. G. Jaques from Longwood City Council spoke to the Council to
ask them to endorse a resolution supporting the Seminole County
Commissioners in their fight against go-go dancers in Seminole
County.
A motion was made by Councilman Kelley to draw up a resolution
endorsing the Seminole County Commissioners and the Longwood
City Council t s position to ban go-go dancers in Seminole County.
Seconded by Councilman Fox. Discussion. Motion carries.
- Mayor Brown recessed the Coucil Meeting and opened the Public
Hearing at 7:35. The Public Hearing was held to change the
zoning classification of Jackts Mini Mart from R-1 to C-1.
Mr. Freeman read the notice of public hearing.
No one came to speak against the change of zoning.
Mayor Brown closed the public hearing and reconvened the Council
Meeting.
A motion was made by Councilman Fox to accept the change in zoning
classification from R-1 to C-1. Seconded by Councilman Hurt.
Discussion. Motion carries.
A motion was made by Councilman Kelley to remove Ordinance No. 66
from the table. Seconded by Councilman Hurt. Discussion. Motion
carries.
Mr. Freeman read the first reading of Ordinance 66, amending
Ordinance No. 50, pertaining to subdivisions.
A motion was made by Councilman Hurt to table Ordinance No. 66
until we can have this (Section III) explained in more detail by
a gentleman from the Public Service Commission. Seconded by
Councilman Piland. Discussion. Motion carries. Ordinance No. 66
will be tabled until November 29, 1971.

Mr. Freeman read the first reading of Ordinance No. 68, amendment
to Ordinance No. L14, providing for two new zoning classifications.
A motion was made by Councilman Kelley to accept Ordinance No. 68
on the first reading. Seconded by Councilman Hurt. Discussion.
Motion carries.
Mr. 0. P. Williams offered to buy the grader for $350.00.
A motion was made by Councilman Kelley to sell the road grader
to Mr. 0. P. Williams for #350. cash. Seconded by Councilman
Piland. Discussion. Two Councilmen voted aye; two Councilmen
voted no; Mayor Brown voted aye. Motion carried.
Mr. Lance Lawrence, manager of the mobile park, Hacienda Village,
has asked permission to put a trailer on their land to use as
their office. Mr. Lawrence will be in here with revised plans
for the entrance way which will be given to the Zoning Board for
their review on Thursday, November 18, 1971.
Mr. Reed of Florida Land Company presented a replat of resubdivision
of Block 5 and Tract A of North Orlando Second Addition and copies
of original deed restrictions.
A motion was made by Councilman Hurt to accept the revised plat.
Seconded by Councilman Kelley. Discussion. Motion carries.
Mir. Logan Browning of the firm Pierce, Wa bern, Murphey, Inc. is
to be invited to attend a Council Meeting as soon as possible,
to talk with the Council about his agreements and that way he
could serve the Village as fiscal agent.
In discussion of payment of dues for membership of CALNO it was
agreed to allow the $1,000 which was allotted for CALNO when the
budget was drawn up.
With the Casselberry Police Department changing over to UTIF
within approximately ninety days, Mr. Kelley offered to find out
prices of the different units which we may need. This will be
discussed again at our next meeting.
Councilman Piland read a letter from Police Chief Walter Bachelor
requesting appointment of volunteer mothers to serve as Special
Police Officers at the Village bus stops.
A motion was made by Councilman Filand to appoint the ladies
listed on the request as Special Police Officers of North Orlando
to patrol school bus stops. Seconded by Councilman Fox. Discussion.
Motion carries.
A motion was made- to adjourn the meeting by Councilman Fox. Seconded
by Councilman Hurt. Motion carries.
