WORKSHOP SESSION
VILLAGE COUNCIL
• VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO
MAY 24, 1971
The Workshop Session of the Village Council of the Village of North
Orlando, Florida was called to order by Mayor Brown at 7:40 p.m.
A Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Mayor Brown.

Attorney, Thomas Freeman, present Herbert Fox, present

After much discussion on this request from Florida Land Company,
it was recommended that we give this request to Cal Conklin,
City Engineer, for his review so that he can give us his opinion,
and recommendation.
Mayor Brown read the letter of resignation from Mr. Kelley as
Zoning & Industrial Commissioner. Action will be taken on this
at our next regular meeting June 7, 1971.
Mayor Brown also read a letter of resignation from Mr. Melvin
Campbell from the Zoning & Planning Board. Action will be taken
• on this at our next regular meeting of June 7, 1971.
Mayor Brown and Mr. Jim Palmer, Building Inspector, met with
Mr. Bob Brown of the Seminole County Licensing Board to discuss
examination for building contractors that come into North Orlando.
Mr. Brown will be happy to do this for us. At our next regular
meeting a motion will be made allowing the Zoning Commission of
Seminole County to examine the building contractors for North
Orlando. An excerpt of the minutes to this effect will be sent
to Mr. Brown, and then this will go into effect.

Mayor Brown read a letter from S. Joseph Davis pertaining to
Mr. Joe Mooney, Director of the Divn. of Technical Assistance,
Department of Community Affairs, Tallahassee. Mr. Mooney will be
able to meet with members of the CALNO Group Wednesday, June 9, 1971
at 7 p.m. at the Casselberry City Hall.

Mayor Brown al o read a letter from Vernon Mize, Chairman,
' Planning and Development Committee of the Greater Sanford
Chamber of Commerce inviting a member of the Council to a
luncheon to be held Thursday, June 10, 1971, 12100 noon, at
the Caboose Restaurant, in an effort to find a method to
improve communications between Seminole County elected officials.
Mayor Brown presented the Councilmen with graphs of our financial
record. This was to give them an idea of where the money comes
from and where it is spent.
Councilman Rowell had been given an offer of $400, for the Village
dump truck. Action will be taken on this at our next regular
meeting.
A motion was made to adjourn the Workshop Session.
