REORGANIZATIONAL MEE~ING
VILLAGE COUNCIL
VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLMJDO, FLA.
APRIL 1, 1968
The Reorganizational Meeting for the Village of North Orlando,
Florida was called to order by Mayor Fuller at 7:30 P.M.
The group joined in a Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
On Roll Call the following were present:
Mayor George Fuller
Vice-Mayor, Jay Wetz
Attorney, Tom Freeman
Councilman David
Councilmen: Charles Rowell
Granville Brown
Allen Cronk
Jenkins was absent.

The newly elected Mayor, Clifford Jordon, was sworn in by
Attorney, Tom Freeman. Mayor FUller, then turned the meeting over
to the new Mayor, Clifford Jordon. Mayor Jordon thanked the
people who voted for him and said that his goal was to ma.ke North
Orlando one of the show places of Seminole County, both in growth
and beauty.
Allen Cronk, Group 3, for I year
Dick Longcore, Group 4, 2 years
Gerry Brown, Group 2, 2 years were sworn in, as a group, as
councilmen, in their respective groups, by Attorney Freeman.
A vote was taken for the office of Vice-Mayor. Five votes
were cast and 5 votes were received for Jay Wetz as Vice-Mayor.
Motion was made by Mr. Brown and seconded by Mr. Cronk that
Mr. Wetz be accepted for the office of Vice-Mayor. Unanimously
approved by Council.
Appointments of the new committees was made by Mayor ~ordon.
Road and Bridge: Chairman, Allen Cronk, Dick Longcore, assistant.
Police and Fire: Chairman, Jay Wetz, Allen Cronk, assistant
Finance, Chairman, Gerry Brown, Jay Wetz, assistant.
Health, Beautification, and Election: Chairman, Dick Longcore
Chuck Rowell, assistant.
Recreation and Zoning: Chairman, Chuck Rowell, Gerry Brown, assist.
y~. Wetz asked for the floor and on behalf of the Village
Council and the Village Clerk, presented a gift of a table lighter
to the out-going Mayor, George Fuller. It was engraved; "MAYOR
GEORGE FULLER, NORTH ORLANDO, FLA. 1966.1967tt Mayor Fuller
thanked the Council and said that he had enjoyed workin~ with them
so very much and was going to miss being with them. He said that
he was sorry that he was forced to give up the work, bacause of
Doctor's orders, but he would come back from time to time.
Motion was made by Mr. Brown anr' Reconr"d by Mr. Wetz that the
r- meeting adjourn at 7:40 P.M. Unanimouslyapproved by Council.
