A Speciall-!eeting of the Village Council of the Village of North Orlando,
Florida 'WaS called to order by the Mayor at 7:50 P.M.
On Roll Call~ a quorum was present, consisting of Mayor Tilson, and
Councilmen Rowell and. Wetz. Councilmen Fuller and Brolm ere absent,
Also Attorney Johnson.
Mr. Wetz reported on his talk with Mr. Donald Goldsb,. the man seeking
employment as a police officer. Mr. Goldsby is interested in locating
in a small community, but his answer was depending on the living conciitions
in North Orlando and whether he would be the only officer on duty so that
he would never get any time off. He does have an income from both
the Navy and Civil Service, but he intimated that he would like about
100.00 per week. Mr. Wetz told Mr. Goldsby that he would be gone for
two weeks but that if azwthing came up he could contact Mr. Tilson.
Mr. Gaylord Bordeen, age 55 and a peasioner, living at 551 Iris, in
Howell Park. Works part time for the Longwood Police Department. Mr.
Tilson called Mr. Bordeen, but he was not at home. Mr. Tilson told
Mrs. Bordeen that if Mr. Bordeen was interested to please send in
his resume.

Motion was made by Mr. Weltz and seconded by Mr. Rowell to advertize
for a Police Chief. A discussion was held.
Motion was then made by Mr. Weltz and seconded by Mr. Rowell to place
the following ad in the publications listed below. Roll Call vote
was: Wetz "lES", Rowell, Hm", Tilson n'YES".

following members to the Village Planning and Zoning Board:
