PROCEEDINGS OF REOHGAIiJ'IZATIONAL lUTING
VILIAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA
APRIL 5, 1965
The reorganizational meeting of the nerI TTil1age Council, for the
Village of North Orlando, Fla. was called to order by the Senior
Councilman, David G. Tilson, at 7:35 P.M.
On Roll Call, Councilrr.an Tilson, BrOi'ffi and ~1etz were present.
Absent were }~yor VanEepoel ane Councilman Rhodes.
The mL~utes of the regular council meeting on March 1, 1965 ~~re
read. f.1r. Brown stated that worl{ waG to be done on the South end of
Fisher Road in addition to the work to be done on Hayes Road. Minutes
were then approved as per addition.
Motion was made by COWlcilman BrOi1n and se conded by Councilman
Wetz that Helen Green be s."orn in as Temporary Village Clerk. Helon Green
was then sworn in by Judge Johnson.
Attorney Orville Johnson III, Judf;e of the Village of North Orlando,
Fla., conducted the L'1stallation of the four nei-l councilmen, George T. Fuller,
Charles E. Rowell" IJ.oyd T. Brown and Jay A. Wetz.

Following the installation, the council members voted~ by secret
ballot, for l-Iayor of the Village of North Orlando. The balloting results
were as follows:
;; unanimous vot.es for David G. Tilson
David G. Tilson waC' suorn in rr.l Judge Orville Johnson as Hayor
of the Village of North Orlando, Fla. Reso111tion #56,qualifying and
accepting by majority vote, David G. Tilson as Nayor of the Village of
North Orlando, Fla., was read. A short speech was given by Mayor Tilson..
Then followed the vote for Vice Mayor, also by Secret Ballot, and
the 'totes cast 'W'ere:-
George T. Fuller--- 3 votes
Charles E. Rowell-- 1 vote
Jay A. Wetz-------- 1 vote
The majority of votes were carried by George T. Fuller, who was then
sworn in as Vice Mayor by Judge Orville Johnson.
As there was no further business at this time, on motion of
Councilman fuller, the meeting was adjourned.
