PROCEEDINGS AT SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA
APRIL 2, 1962, at 8:00 P.M.
In accordance with provisions of the Charter, a special
meeting of the Village Council of North Orlando was held on
this date for the purpose of swearing in the newly elected
councilmen and reorganization of council. The meeting was
opened by Mayor Fasula. Present at the meeting were: Mayor
Fasula, Councilmen Memory and Stripling.
Judge Ambrose Olliff administered the oath of office to
Councilman elect Woodrow W. Anderson and Robert E. Stephenson,
at the conclusion of which Councilman Anderson was designated
as temporary chairman of the reorganization meeting. He then
called for nominations for mayor. Councilman Memory nominated
Frank Fasula for mayor. There being no further nominations,
Mr. Anderson called for the vote, which was as follows:
Councilman Stripling and Memory, and Mr. Fasula, in favor.
Councilman Stephenson opposed.
The chair then called for nominations of vice-mayor. Mr.
Fasula nominated Councilman Stephenson for vice-mayor. There
being no further nominations, the chair called for the vote.
Mr. Stephenson was unanimously elected vice-mayor.
Mr. Fasula then nominated Elizabeth S. Helmly for Village
Clerk. There being no further nominations, the chair called
for the vote, and Elizabeth S. Helmly was unanimously elected
Village Clerk.

Judge Olliff then administered the oath of office
to the following: Frank Fasula as Mayor, Robert E. Stephenson
as Vice-mayor, and Elizabeth S. Helm~y as Village Clerk.
Mayor Fasula then took over the meeting and announced
that any further appointments would be deferred until the
regular council meeting to be held on Tuesday evening, April
3rd, 1962, at 8:00 P.M.
There being no further business to come before the meeting,
on motion of Councilman Anderson the meeting was adjourned.
