PROCEEDINGS AT COUNCIL MEETING
VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA
NOVEMBER 8, 1960, at 8:00 P. M.
Mayor Fasula called the meeting to order. In attendance were
Mayor Fasula, Vice- Mayor Jackson, and Councilmen Memory and Webster.
The Village Clerk read the minutes of the previous meeting held
October 4, 1960. Mayor Fasula called for any corrections or additions.
Hearing none, the minutes were approved as read.
Mayor Fasula: Any unfinished business?
Mr. Dean, who has undertaken a survey for the purpose of providing
police protection for the residents, made a report on his findings; however,

he stated that his survey was not yet completed, and that some matters were
coming up which he felt should be discussed with Council.
Mayor Fasula requested that Mr. Dean complete his survey and that
letters could be sent to those people who were not yet occupying homes. He
stated that when the survey was completed Council would meet with the people
to discuss the matter.
There was some discussion on the advantages of being in the Village
limits of the Village of North Orlando. Mention was made of the franchise
the Village has with the light company and the ultimate plan to use the money
for installing street lights at a later date.
There was also discussion as to the advantages of having police pro-
te ction in the village, and Mr. Dean explained the advantage s e spe cially at
night.

Mayor Fasula asked if there was any other business. Mr. Jackson
said that he would like to state that in reference to complaints about the roads,
that culverts had been purchased and were on the property and that they would
be installed as fast as possible.
Mayor Fasula stated that progress was being made on the recreation
area. Also, that the deed had been executed and recorded to a corporation
from Toledo, Ohio, on the business property, and that the 7-Eleven Store
and office of Masterbuilders would be leased from this firm, as well as the
two remaining stores, a laundromat and drug store.
Mr. Webster inquired as to when the fire truck would be delivered.
Mayor Fasula stated that the truck is presently at the Silver Creek factory
and that in the near future he would look into the possibility of getting it to
North Orlando.
The Mayor called for any other business to come before the meeting.
Hearing none, Mr. Webster made a motion that the meeting be adjourned
and the motion was seconded by Mr. Memory.
